"Confirm SharePoint Web Site In Use" Notifications
Hey Guys,
I am trying to figure out the conditions in which MOSS 2010 sends out email notifications asking to confirm that a site is still in use.
For example:
From:
SharePoint@company.ca [mailto:SharePoint@company.ca]
Sent: Wednesday, November 24, 2010 12:00 AM
To: user
Subject: Confirm SharePoint Web site in use
Please follow the link below to your SharePoint Web site to confirm that it is still in use.
http://moss/sites/test/_layouts/useconfirmation.aspx
If the site is not being used, please go to
http://moss/sites/test/_layouts/settings.aspx, and select "Delete This Site" to remove the Web site.
You will receive reminders of this until you confirm the site is in use, or delete it.

I get these quite abit and most are for very active sties. I should also mention that i have it set up NOT to delete a site if it hasnt been used in a while...yet i still get
these notifications.
Earlier I was getting MySite Suggestion emails and I was able to turn them off by disabling the USER PROFILE SERVICE APPLICATION - MY SITE SUGGESTIONS EMAIL JOB. I dont necessarily
want to disable the job (if there is one) for this new issue...i just want to understand it and possibly tweak the settings for it.
